The Big Race - the Heart Foundation is currently looking for volunteers to be a part of this major sporting event!

Detailed Description The Heart Foundation's mission is to reduce suffering and death from heart, stroke, and blood vessel disease in Australia. Our vision is for Australians to have the best cardiovascular health in the world. We have been an independent charity for almost five decades, funding world class research, supporting health professionals, and promoting health in the community.

We currently have a volunteer opportunity available working as a representative of the Heart Foundation in the Sydney CBD. You will be assisting in the delivery of refreshments to up to 30,000 competitors involved in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival. This will be a hands-on team based experience based in the centre of Sydney.
You will be provided with:
Free public transport on the day of the race to get you to and from your assigned area.
Blackmores t-shirt to keep

Volunteers Certificate
The event will be held on Sunday 19th September 2010 and volunteers will be required to be onsite from 6am till around midday. T-shirts will be provided and as a representative of the Heart Foundation, we will also
provide branded headgear to our volunteers.
To be successfully selected, you will:
Be able to work well within a team environment
Follow instruction and stay calm under pressure
Display great communication skills
Have a positive can do attitude.
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable people who are able to offer a commitment for this fantastic event.
We need you to be able to commit working from 6am till 12pm on Sunday 19th September.
