The Royal Sydney Golf Club is located in Rose Bay in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. The Club is looking to recruit an Exercise Specialist who understands the values associated with a prestigious and traditional private members Club, and who can appreciate the expectation to provide outstanding service to members and their guests.

The new state-of-the-art Fitness Centre has a 300m gymnasium boasting the latest fitness equipment, an exercise studio, two pools (a 25m lap pool and 12m warm water pool), a crche and caf.

We have a nicherole for a fully qualified Exercise Specialist with Group Exercise experience. This roleis responsible for the supervision of the Club’s gym and pools, provision of fitness advice, the conduct of personal training, fitness assessments and exercise prescription as well as assisting the Fitness Centre Manager with the day to day running of the centre.

Gym floor experience is required, however the ability to think on your feet, motivate members and be proactive will also be highly regarded. You must be able to display exceptional customer service skills. The position is initially for approximately 15 hours per week, however more hours may be available to the right candidate.

The successful applicant mustbe available to work weekends, be well presented at all times and display exemplary communication skills both written and oral. You will need to be motivated, energetic, proactive and a team player as well as demonstrating flexibility and co-operation at all times.

Relevant Tertiary Qualification
Certificate IV in Fitness
Level 2/Senior First Aid
Current CPR
